April 2018 Playlist
This month we go a little deeper into some house tracks. First off is Black Loops' (from Germany) remix of Easy to Remember - C'est Nul, with an absolute cracking drop, filled with a saturated punchy bass and glistening synth lines. Loving the subtleties introduced throughout the track. Next up is Gloved Hands with All My Life. This mysterious music producer is from the record label Dream Chimney. I wasn't able to find much about them/him/her, but their swelling synth, brutish crunching bass and lo-fi grain is going to send me into a deep research trip to find out more. The third track is from New Zealand producer and DJ, Hugo Jay with Spent. This progressively bright and colourful journey, full of cavernous reverb, helps transcend the mind during those sunny days laying under the sky. Continuing the sun drenched days theme, next up is Pacific Coliseum with Ocean City. It's swirling synths, off beat wood block and delay soaked guitar riffs, Ocean City is a perfect name for this tune. Lastly, we have a 10 minute mysteriously deep and spacious track by Sydney-sider t.hanks called Kerouac. This track introduces flute, synth, bass, claps, deep voiced samples, drone and a sneaky little womp bass towards the end. That's it for April. Hope your ears enjoy the exposure.
